Our first day in Manhattan ended with a spectacular sunset. Just as the Staten Island ferry was docking on the Manhattan side the sun punched through a gap in the clouds just before sundown. Seen from afar the whole city must have been aglow. All we could do was marvel at the play of light on the Wachovia building right by the terminal.
I call it the Wachovia building because that was the bank name on it, but it could be called something else. I’m sure a native New Yorker is out there to set me right.
