Hello 'Rotimi - sorry I have taken so long to get back to you. It all depends on where you're flying in from, of course, but there are a lot of airlines serving Jo'burg and Cape Town, plus there are a couple of good budget airlines if you want to fly around the country. I have left a few links here for the places we stayed.

This is also a work in progress. We've actually been there twice, first time was in 2003, also for a month. That month is still to be written up, and on that one I hope to put in more practical tips as well.

Hello Ian,

This is an inspiring story, and the pictures are just too wondeful to behold. I will like to have an experience of this personaly. What I will like to know is, the cost of making such a holiday for 2 adults, the travelling requirements for the Kingdom of Lesotho(ie visas and its procurement) and contacts of hotels for booking arrangements.

Thank you.

I've never really had an interest in seeing S. Africa, until now. Seriously. I want to say that I've tried a rocket shower. Fascinating. Do post more photos, they really compliment the details.

Thanks for sharing your photos and stories, Ian. I laughed about the potholes! Hope you get to go back sometime. I am looking forward to taking my kids to the bush on my next visit home; to me it's the perfect holiday.
